PRIVACY POLICY

Effective date: 6 March 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how EDGE Football AI Ltd ("EDGE", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, stores and protects personal data in connection with EDGE.

EDGE Football AI Ltd is a private company limited by shares incorporated in England and Wales with company number 16915252. Our registered office is 62-64 Market Street, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire, LE65 1AN, United Kingdom.

For privacy queries or rights requests, contact privacy@edgefootball.ai.

1. Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to parents, guardians, adult players, coaches, club or academy administrators, website visitors, subscribers, support contacts, and individuals whose data appears in content uploaded to EDGE.

2. Controller and processor roles

For direct accounts, subscriptions, billing, support and general operation of the platform, EDGE generally acts as a data controller.

Where a club, academy, school or other organisation uploads or manages player data and decides why and how that data is used, that organisation is generally the controller and EDGE acts as a processor for that dataset.

In some cases, EDGE may act in different roles for different activities within the same overall relationship.

3. The personal data we collect

We may collect and process the following categories of personal data:

  • account and identity data, such as name, email address, login details, role and guardian details
  • profile and football data, such as team, position, dominant foot, level, focus areas and development information
  • performance data, such as match statistics, event data, review inputs, plan history and related football-development information
  • media and file data, such as uploaded match footage, images, PDFs and supporting files
  • communication data, such as emails, forms, messages, feedback and support requests
  • billing and transaction data, such as plan type, payment status, billing details and related records
  • technical and usage data, such as device information, browser type, IP address, logs, authentication events and cookie-related data where relevant

4. Data we do not want you to submit

EDGE is intentionally designed not to collect or structure medical or injury records, diagnosed health conditions, medication details, mental health diagnoses or other special category data for normal product use.

Please do not submit personal data that is not reasonably necessary for football development use of the service.

If such data is entered into free text or uploaded in a way we can detect, EDGE may block, redact, delete or otherwise restrict processing of that data.

5. How we use personal data

We use personal data to:

  • create and manage accounts
  • authenticate users and keep the platform secure
  • provide the website, app and core service functionality
  • run trials, subscriptions, billing and customer administration
  • process football-development inputs and generate reports, reviews and plans
  • respond to support queries and service communications
  • improve product quality, reliability and performance
  • investigate misuse, fraud, safeguarding concerns or legal issues
  • comply with legal, regulatory and tax obligations

6. Lawful bases

Depending on the context, we rely on one or more of the following lawful bases:

  • performance of a contract
  • compliance with a legal obligation
  • legitimate interests
  • consent, where required by law

Where consent is relied upon, you can withdraw it at any time, although this will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

7. Children's data

EDGE is designed so that players under 16 must be connected to a parent or legal guardian-controlled account.

We do not permit independent minor-controlled accounts.

Parents, guardians, clubs and other organisations using EDGE in relation to children must ensure that they have the appropriate authority, permissions and lawful basis for the use of personal data and any uploaded content.

8. Video, images and uploads

Users may upload footage, images, documents and other materials to EDGE.

If you upload content showing children or other individuals, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the appropriate permission, consent or other lawful basis to upload and share that content.

EDGE may process uploaded content to provide product features, generate outputs, maintain records and improve the service.

Video of identifiable players is personal data. Access to youth content should be permission-based and not publicly exposed.

9. Sharing personal data

We may share personal data with:

  • service providers and processors that support hosting, infrastructure, authentication, analytics, payments, communications and support
  • clubs, academies, schools, parents, guardians or authorised users, depending on how the account and workflow are configured
  • professional advisers, insurers, auditors or regulators where reasonably necessary
  • law enforcement or public authorities where required by law or where necessary to protect rights, safety or the platform
  • a buyer, investor, merger partner or other relevant third party in connection with a corporate transaction, due diligence exercise or reorganisation, subject to appropriate safeguards where required

We do not sell personal data.

10. International transfers

Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we will ensure that an appropriate safeguard is in place where required by applicable data protection law, such as adequacy regulations or appropriate contractual safeguards.

11. Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data, the customer relationship and legal requirements.

Where a user deletes an account, personal data should be deleted unless retention is required for legal compliance, such as financial records.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

These may include secure cloud hosting, HTTPS, role-based access controls, strong authentication procedures, restricted admin access, appropriate internal permissions and suitable security controls with third-party providers.

No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • request access to your personal data
  • request correction of inaccurate data
  • request deletion of data in certain circumstances
  • request restriction of processing
  • object to certain processing
  • request portability of data where applicable
  • withdraw consent where consent is relied upon
  • complain to the Information Commissioner's Office
